A three day Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Samaroh will be held at Town Hall, Udaipur from December 18 to 20th. This annual concerts on music and dance will be organized by Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Parishad which was setup in 1962 by great musician late Pandit Omkarnath Thakur. This is the 48th Sangeet Samaroh by Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Parishad.

The first day will bring the Sarod recital of Shri Ken Zuckerman from Switzerland. One of the senior disciples of great Sarod maestro, late Ustad Ali Akbar Khan.

The second half of the night on 18th will feature a Violin recital by Shri Ramoo Prasad Shastri, a veteran violin player and former professor of Music, Banaras Hindu University. Shri Lalit Kumar will accompany Shri Ken Zuckerman and Shri Ramoo Prasad on tabla.

On 19th december, recital by renowned vocalish Parween Sultana. Parween Ji would be accompained by senior artists of All India Radio Shri Mukund Rajdeo on tabla and Shri Srinivas Acharya on harmonium.

Pandit Birju Maharaj will perform on the third and concluding day as an exclusive "Kathak" event. He will present very rare and immortal compositions "Kathak Yatra" in Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Samaroh. He will accompanied by a team of his senior disciples Saswati Sen, Deepak Maharaj, Mamta Maharaj, Mahua Shankar, Pallabi De and other accompanying musicians.

कुंभलगढ फेस्टिवल एतिहासिक कुंभलगढ दुर्ग़ पर 21 से 23 दिसम्बर तक होगा. पहले दिन पद्मश्री गीता चंद्रन भरत नाट्यम की प्रस्तुति देंगी. दुसरे दिन भुवनेश्वर के कलाकार दुर्गाचरण रणधीर ओडिसी नृत्य पेश करेंगे और तीसरे दिन दक्षिण की ही कलाकार गुरु मालती श्याम कत्थक नृत्य पेश करेंगी.

Geeta Chandran and her Natya Vriksha Dance Company will inaugurate the 3-day Kumbhalgarh Fort Tourism Festival organized by Rajasthan Tourism at Kumbalgarh Fort, 80 kilometres outside Udaipur. Classical Dance Festival ( Kumbhalgarh Festival) will be celebrated from 21 December to 23 December. On the inaaugural eve, Padmashri Geeta Chandran will perform Bharatanatyam. Second day, Durgacharan Randheer from Bhubaneshwar will present odyssey dance. On the last day of the festival, Guru Malti Shyam will present Kathak dance.

Kumbhalgarh fort is 84 km from Udaipur.

Festival highlights include dance performance by local artists, in which the more courageous audience members are encouraged to participate as well, guest can participate in musical chairs and tug of war both big attractions.

The fort is already impressive and amazing by day time, in night illuminated in yellow light giving its façade a golden glow and the fort makes a stunning spectacle view by night .the fort is enormous and capable enough to accommodate many within her walls, that means more peoples will have the chances to enjoy this fabulous work of architecture.

उदयपुर नगर परिषद चुनाव में फिर से भारतीय जनता पार्टी ने जीत दर्ज की है. भा.ज.पा. ने लगातार चौथी बार बोर्ड पर कब्जा जमा लिया है. कुल 55 सीटो में से भाजपा ने 34, कांग्रेस ने 18 और माकपा ने 1 सीट जीती जबकी 2 निर्दलिय प्रत्याशियों ने भी जीत का स्वाद चखा.

सभापति पद पर पहली बार प्रत्यक्ष मतदान प्रणाली से हुए चुनाव में भाजपा की रजनी डांगी ने कांग्रेस की नीलिमा सुखाडिया को 10 हजार 312 मतों के अंतर से हराकर जीत दर्ज की.

नगर परिषद के उपसभापति पद पर भाजपा के महेन्द्रसिहं शेखावत निर्विरोध निर्वाचित हुए.

ज्योमितीय आकारों और चटख रंगो की प्रदर्शनी "एन एक्सोगैमी" शुक्रवार से बागोर की हवेली के कलावीथी सभागार में शुरु हुई. पश्चिम क्षेत्र सांस्कृतिक केन्द्र के निदशक डॉ. देवेन्द्र धोदावत के चित्रो की यह प्रदर्शनी अलग-अलग थीम पर आधारित है. प्रदर्शनी 9 जनवरी से 18 जनवरी तक चलेगी.

नगर परिषद प्रांगण मे दस दिन तक चलने वाले दशहरा-दीपावली मेले के लिये तैयारियाँ पुर्ण हो गई है. दशहरा-दीपावली मेला 28 अक्टूबर तक चलेगा. मेले में खरिददारी व खानपान के लिए तकरिबन 70 दुकाने सजाई गई है. मेलार्थियों के लिए कई प्रकार के झूले लगाए गए है जिनमें ब्रेक डांस, ड्रेगन नाव, कोलम्बस, हवाई झूला विशेष है. बच्चो के मनोरंजन के लिए भी कई नई तरह के झूले की व्यवस्था होगी. मेले का उदघाटन महंत मुरली मनोहरशरण शास्त्री दिनांक 18 फरवरी को सांय 7 बजे करेगे. मुख्य अतिथि जिला कलेक्टर कुलदीप रांका होगें.

प्रशासन ने मेले मे सुरक्षा के विशेष इंतजाम किए है जिसके तहत मेला स्थल पर दो कंट्रोल रुम स्थापित किए गए है. पाँच वाँच टावरो से पुलिस पुरे मेला स्थल की निगरानी करेगी. मेला आयोजन समिति भी मेला स्थल पर नियंत्रण कक्ष स्थापित करेगी.
